Flakes

Flakes are material which are not in powder form but various in sizes and shapes. While handling such material it depends on the requirement whether the brakage of particle is allowed or not. In cases where particle breakage is not a concern then handling will be easy. However, if breakage is not permissible than the handling will be entirely different.

Such material do not generate dust during handling. There Bulk density is generally on higher side like more than 1.0Kg/m³.

Project Statement

Small bag of 25 kg weight has to be charged to the reactor. The process requirement is to completely empty the small bag and transfer to the reactor. The maximum transferring capacity of the system is 800 kg/h.

Project Detail

25 kg bags dump inside the BDS (Use vacuum lifter for bag dumping - optional), once BDS get 80% filled with full volume close the BDS door (conveying system will be start after closing BDS door, proxy SW interlock). The system will start to transfer material from BDS to Reactor by using Powder Transfer System as per define flow rate, at the same time BDS blower will be remain ON for the dust free operation. Nitrogen purging is taken for PTS pulsing to control moisture during the operation.
